Rakesh Tikait Leads Farmer March to Dehradun, Demands Justice in Divyanshu Murder Case

BKU Spokesperson Leads Farmers to Dehradun

Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait marched to Dehradun on Friday with a large number of farmers, demanding strict punishment for those accused in the recent Divyanshu murder case.

Tikait Raises Concern Over Student Safety in Dehradun

Tikait expressed serious concern over the rising incidents of crime against students in Dehradun. He stated that the manner in which Divyanshu Jatrana died by suicide — allegedly due to pressure exerted by a group of students — has created a deep sense of insecurity among the student community.

Arrival Plan and Ground-Level Arrangements

Tikait stated that he and the farmers would arrive at Asharodi in Dehradun by 11 AM. The BKU delegation planned to submit a memorandum to the concerned authorities, demanding the strictest possible punishment for all those accused in the Divyanshu murder case.

Police Deploy Barricades at Asharodi

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Dobal confirmed that barricading has been set up at Asharodi to manage the farmer march. Senior officials will be present at the site to receive the memorandum from the delegation.
